Benson Leroy “Ben” Hockman89, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2005.He was born in Mattoon, IL on September 17, 1916 to Arthur and Ruby Hockman. After serving honorably in WWII he married Evelyn Lucille Conley. Together they had four children. He was a regional sales manager for Stroh Brewing Company. He was an avid golfer.He is survived by his beloved wife Evelyn, four children; Larry Hockman, Michael Hockman, Gloria Cook and Nina Bussman-Ward, brother Bill Hockman, sisters Wetone Sullivan and Mary Rogge, 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great -great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Indiana Funeral Care, Harry Moore Lawrence Chapel on Tuesday, November 22 from 4 to 7 pm, with a private burial to follow on Wednesday. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice.
